With all sanding of the main tube completed, and as I did with the dew
shield after the sanding process, I used mineral spirits to clean away
the aluminum debris and residue from the surface of the main tube.
Now that both tube components have had their surfaces prepared, I
will next tackle the priming and painting of both, which will require
some setup. First, I will start with priming the main tube.
