Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - The Paint (Rustoleum Sail Blue Spray Enamel - 1)

The spray paint I will use on the GJD - Rustoleum Sail Blue (a.k.a., Vega Blue) - 1 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

The paint of choice for the "GJD" refractor (as with most of my builds) is Rustoleum's Sail Blue spray enamel, as seen in the photo above. I have used this color over the years because it looks similar in color to the blue in our VSC logo. That's why Gary and I coined it "a.k.a., Vega Blue". Plus, I think it was a better choice as compared to the magenta in our logo. LOL!!!

The paint has also withstood the test of time. As I am writing this caption on 08/02/2015, my Coulter 10" f/5.6 "GB" Fork Mounted reflector is fast approaching 9 years old, being completed in January of 2007, and this paint still looks great without any chipping, cracking or fading! So, I had no reservations in using it going forward.
