After allowing the dew shield to dry and cure for approximately three
(3) weeks, I moved it from the horizontal support tube in the garage,
to the sunny floor of my patio. That was because, even though the tube
cured for so long, I could still smell fumes radiating from it. So,
moving it to the patio, I sat it out in the sun, periodically rotating
it every half hour for about four (4) hours to help the final
outgassing of the piece. Once it cooled from being out in the sun, it
was ready to mount onto the OTA. But, before that could be done, I
will need to paint the main tube next. |
