Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Objective Front Lens Cell (prep surface for priming)

When I received the objective cell parts that were fabricated by Eric Moerman, they looked so good that I did not want remove their beautiful aluminum sheen. But, if I wanted a telescope to deliver the best contrast, I had to get rid of the shine. This meant that I had to buff all surfaces of the front lens cell to flock it. To minimize the damage to the cell components, I used a Scotch-Brite pad to just create a matte finish to the piece. This proved sufficient in generating a surface that could easily be primed in preparation for flocking with the illustrious Rustoleum Camouflage flat black spray enamel paint. Please note that I will not be painting the threads milled in the front lens cell for obvious reasons I hope are understood.
