Step 4 --- Before I cut away the six (6) rectangular sections from the
template, I snipped the circle out about a tenth (.10") of an inch
outside of the line, as you can see in the photo. The reason I cut
outside of the line was because I
did not draw my circle to the correct outside diameter of the
unmounted objective lens. :^(
I made the mistake of drawing the circle to the clear
aperture opening of 6" inches, rather than the diameter of the
unmounted objective, which is 6.1" inches. Despite the error, I did
manage to catch it in time to cut the diameter to the correct size.
Now we can cut away the 60-degree spaced rectangles! |
