Now that we have
established a new use for the neoprene appliance feet, let's move
forward on the assembly of the "adjustable center legs".
First, using a 1/2"
Forstner drill bit, I enlarged the center holes of two neoprene
appliance feet followed by drilling a larger 3/4" recess in the top
of one the two feet at a shallow depth of about a half inch, as you
can see in the image above. The recess in the top of the appliance
foot will allow the square section under the head of the carriage
bolt to slip into the it and provide for a snug fit.
