After the spar varnish I applied to the accessory tray for the North Star II field tripod fully cured over a week, I installed the three door hinge wings to each of the corners using stainless steel hardware (1/4"-20 oval-head bolt, countersunk washers, regular washers and crown nuts). The opposite door hinge wings will be mounted to each of the three tripod legs and will allow the accessory tray to connect via the three hinge pins, which will solidly erect and stabilize the tripod.
