| Just to the
right of center in this photo is the raw Sonotube I purchased at
Hughes Supplies in Tampa, FL for only $17.00 (pretty good price). It
was a remnant piece just lying around in their warehouse. Typically
you would have to purchase a full length of Sonotube from this
supplier, but I was VERY fortune that they had this piece lying
around. It is 72" long, 12.250" outside diameter, with a
wall thickness of a little over 0.250". There is a thin plastic
membrane liner inside and a hard thin wax coating on the outside. The
tube will be cut to 63.550" in length. Based on the primary
mirror focal length and secondary size, the distance from the focuser
to the front end of the tube will be more than adequate. Please
