Cradle Assembled - Perspective View of Top Section of the Cradle

Top Section of the Cradle (Click for enlarged view)

Shown above is the assembled top section of the cradle. Drywall screws and wood glue were used in its construction. Due to inaccurate cutting of the two tube support brackets, the trunnions are attached to the bottom edge on both sides of the cradle. The trunnions are made from two strips of 3/4" inch plywood glued together. The bottom piece of which is shorter at both ends to fit between the two tube support brackets for the bottom of the cradle. They will prevent back and forth movement of the assembled top and bottom cradle sections. A top plate between the tube support brackets help to provide strength. The top plate can also serve as a means to attach a camera or other device.
