This is the focuser end of the main tube showing the test fit of the ProtoStar Flocking Material. Note that the edge of the flocking material is recessed into the main tube. This was done to allow room for the focuser backplate's leading edge to be inserted. Of course, as noted earlier, the flocking material is flush to the end of the objective end of the tube.
