Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Flocking the Internal Epoxied Nuts - 1

Flocking epoxied guidescope nuts inside main tube - 55 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

With the construction and flocking of the knife-edge baffle complete, it was now time to flock the internal epoxied nuts inside of the main tube. The nuts for the guide scopes dovetail bar were first. Flocking of the nuts for the counterweight system will follow on the page.

As previously mentioned, the purpose for flocking the nuts was done because holes will be cut into the ProtoStar FlockBoard where these nut are located in the main tube so that the flocking material could lay flat. And since the nuts would be seen through the holes, they had to be flocked, which I used Rustoleum Camouflage flat black enamel.
