Resting an elbow on the Pan-Head of the raised VSC “North Star” Field Tripod, Gary Barabino stands proudly next to his new toy. With baited breath, he looked forward to mounting his modified 8” f/5 Konus Konusky 200 Newtonian reflector atop the beast, which can be seen on the left hand side of the photo. The old tripod that this one will replace will be melted down and turned into a counter weight. Just kidding… but not a bad idea!
