Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Rear Lens Cell (prepping to prime - 3)

Prepping Rear Objective Cell for flocking and painting - 3 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

In this step of the finishing process of the rear cell, I will be prepping the unit for flocking the interior surfaces. In doing so, I have started by covering the outside of the entire exterior with painters tape, for which only the exposed transition section will be painted with the Rustoleum black hammered finished paint, and the sections where the main tube slides into and the dew shield slide onto will remain unfinished. But, more masking is needed before priming and flocking can take place, as you will see on the next page.
