Flocked and painted, here is the focuser support/ collimation ring. It
is complete and will be ready to mount once cured fully. Like the
objective collimation cell, this piece was designed to allow angler
floatation of the focuser to align it to the objective. This will be
achieved by utilizing the typical push-pull systems commonly used on
objective cell of today; with thosely similar placed threaded and
unthreaded holes paired in three groups spaced at a 120-degree angle
from one another. In addition, check out the lateral holes drilled in
the sides of the component that will be used for the attachment of the
GSO 2" Dual-Speed Crayford focuser. Once again, Eric's craftsmanship
and precision are off the chain!
