A front view image of the objective's front lens cell as it stands
ready to receive the vintage 6" f/10 Jaegers achromatic lens set I
purchased from Surplus Shed. The test fit proved very successful and
should go just as good when I officially mount the optic.
Note
that my method of mounting the objective is different from most.
Typically this side of the objective cell is considered the back. But,
I decided to do it this way so that I could access to the retaining
ring if I should have to make adjustments (tension, rotation, etc.). I
patterned the design from the objective cell that came with my Carton
100mm f/13 optic.
