Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Main Tube Prep (drilling holes for lens cell - 2)

Final sized holes drilled in Main Tube to receive Lens Cell -2 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

Reaching the optimum size of 1/4" using a progression of increasing bit sizes, all three (3) holes (spaced at 120-degrees apart) have been precisely drilled into the main tube for mounting the objective lens cell assembly.

Also make not that I filed a notch at the main tube's edge in front of one of the holes for aligning and mounting of the objective lens cell in the correct orientation. Later on, you will see that I drew a corresponding Sharpie mark above one of the mounting holes in the rear lens cell for alignment for both the objective lens cell and dew shield.

Now it is time to clean up the holes.
