Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - OTA Handles (the raw components)

Handles components for OTA - uncut - 1 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

To assist in pointing the "GJD" at those wonderful celestial wonders, I decided to make a set of handles to attach to the OTA. Though simple in design, they are going to be an asset during observing sessions.

The photo above shows the chrome plated brass handles, and red oak pieces that make up the major components for the OTA maneuvering handles, that will be installed on opposite sides of the main tube near the focuser end of the Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" refractor. I have already drawn the layout lines for the handle supports onto the wood and are now ready to cut them out on my bandsaw.
