Moving back to the objective end of the "GJD" brings us to the
installation of the objective's rear lens cell. As you can see, the
hardware used to attach the rear cell to the main tube also is being
utilized to secure the end of the ProtoStar FlockBoard in place.
Looking further, despite the fact that you see the bright Vega Blue
edge of the painted main tube showing at the end of the flocking
material, once the objective is installed, this edge will be hidden,
and will not have any effect on the optical path whatsoever. |
