Step 5 --- In this photo, the rectangles have been cut away. Once the
template has been placed and secured over the flint element, it will
allow me to install the aluminum spacer tabs accurately on the lens
edge with minimal contact with the surface of the lens. With the
template now complete, the last step of the process will be to cut out
the aluminum spacer tabs themselves. They will be made from
aluminum duct tape that has an adhesive backing. Then we will move on
to mounting the elements into the front lens cell. |
