Standing here looking like a first generation version of the Genesis
Device from 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan', with the dew shield
installed, the construction of the OTA for the Jaeger's 6" f/10
"Gelinda J. Dawson refractor is now complete!
I must say that
the telescope turned out beautifully, and represents my most ambitious
ATM project yet. I truly poured a lot of passion and persona into this
build. I believe that my wife Gelinda would have been extremely happy
and proud to have this instrument named in her honor.
Turning
the page, I will now have to create the means for which it will be
mounted to my Losmandy G11 equatorial mount. The dovetail plate and
cradle ring are next. |
