Connection of the adapter plate to one of the cradle rings is shown here completed. Note that the heads of the bolts are recessed so that the unit can be attached to the top of the dovetail plate without interference. Of course, it should go without saying that the same thing will be done for the other adapter plate and cradle ring set. The holes on either side of the recessed bolts on the adapter plate will allow for attachment of the cradle ring/ adapter plate assembly to the dovetail plate.
