This is another bottom end view of one of the VSC “North Star” field tripod legs with the “adjustable center leg” removed to reveal the opposite side of the “main leg support” with the eyebolt in place. From this angle you can see the other half of the 3” strap hinge bent over the bottom outside edge of the “main leg support”, secured with a small woodscrew. The leg’s “height adjustment locking mechanism” works great in nullifying marring and scaring of the “adjustable center leg” surface.
