Old Bam could not wait to try out his new replacement tripod. Here he takes aim at the planet Jupiter loaming in the southeastern quadrant of the sky in the constellation Sagittarius. On closer inspection, you can see that the Accessory Tray has an adequate amount of space to hold your favorite observing implements. Even with the nearly 9” inch diameter dust cover lying on the tray, there is still ample room left over for other items. Below, Gary commented via email regarding the performance of the tripod:

"Hey Mel! I am just delighted with the stability of the VSC “North Star” Tripod. I am currently using it to carry my 8-inch f/6 Hardin Newtonian reflector. The tripod is one of the best I've ever worked with. I am planning on making it more versatile for use with the 10" Meade SCT I recently purchased. Thanks to you for the outstanding workmanship, and the time you put into building it is greatly appreciated. Perhaps you can market this outstanding unit. It would be worth every penny."

Thanks again, Bambina!
