With the nuts for the Vixen dovetail bar securely epoxied to the
inside of the main tube, I traversed to the objective end to begin the
efforts for attachment of the Sliding Counterweight system. This
counterweight system was manufactured by Celestron and was given to me
by my friend and partner in astronomy, Gary Barabino.
Like the
process used for attaching the nuts to the inside of the main tube for
the Vixen dovetail bar, I will do the same for the Celestron
counterweight bar. In this picture, the counterweight bar is
positioned over the holes I drilled to which I will later epoxy the
two (2) nuts to the inside of the main tube for its attachment. |
