From the focuser end of the main tube (backplate removed after test
fitted w/ ProtoStar FlockBoard), this is a shot showing where I cut
away small round patches of flocking material directly over the
epoxied nuts for the guide scope dovetail bar. If you look further
down the main tube to the upper left, you can also see the holes I cut
out for the nuts that will hold the counterweight system. Cutting out
these patches will allow the flocking material sheet to lie flat
against the tube, among other benefits. |
