When I designed the Focuser Backplate and sent the plans to Eric
Moerman of Belgium for fabrication, I made a major mistake in
providing him with the wrong inside diameter measurement of the main
tube; thereby causing him to mill the outside diameter of the focuser
backplate's recessed rim, that slides into the main tube smaller by
one (1) millimeter. I was devastated to say the least! So, with some
though, using my improvisational skill sets, I came up with a viable
fix that turned out great in filling in the gap between the tube and
backplate.
The solution? Aluminum duct tape! Now, let us see
how I made this work in the next few pages...
