Jaegers 6" f/10 "GJD" OTA Construction - Focuser Backplate (prep to attach to main tube - 2)

Aluminum Tape divided into strips for Focuser Backplate - 4 (Click to see an enlarged image.)

To get started with the gap filling process, I first measured the circumference of the focuser backplate's unfinished recess rim to determine the length of the strips of aluminum duct I would need. The measurement came to around 22.5". So, with that measurement, I decided to make ten (10) 1/4" stripes from a 22.5" length of aluminum duct tape, as you can see divided in the image above. They will be cut apart and then applied strategically to the focuser backplate's rim.
