This is a top view showing the placement of the dovetail bar (also
utilized as a template) that will
be used in the attachment of the guide scope to the "GJD". The main
tube of the 4" f/8.6 Jaegers refractor painted by Gary Barabino in
Sail Blue sits off to the side at the top of this frame. The dovetail
bar's end will be 5" from the end of the main tube of the Jaegers 6"
f/10 "Gelinda J. Dawson" refractor's focuser end.
Now that the
location of the Vixen style dovetail bar for the guide scope has been established,
I will start work on the main tube of the "GJD" to epoxy nuts to the
inside wall for attaching the dovetail bar to, as you will see in the
pages following. |
